Ludhiana – A massive explosion in the Ludhiana district court on Thursday resulted in the death of at least two people. The court is located near the office of the police commissioner and the matter is concerning the top security officials as it can be a clear case of negligence.

As per the latest reports, the blast saw about five people getting injured but still officials believe that a serious case has been avoided as there were not many people present in the courtrooms as it was Thursday. The blast took place in the washroom on the second floor at around 12:22 pm.

There was a strike going on by the lawyers and it was another reason why a huge disaster was avoided but soon after the incident, the security officials did not waste any time emptying the corridors and vacate them as soon as possible. One of the injured persons in the incident has been identified as advocate RS Mand.

It is not yet clear what was the reason behind the blast as many feel that there is a possibility that the explosion happened due to a cylinder blast while others feel that it is not the case as the explosion happened inside the washroom which means that the blast could have been planted.
