EU Gives Elon Musk’s X A Wake-Up Call To Delete ‘Hamas’ Accounts

Elon Musk’s X (Twitter) has decided to delete hundreds of the terrorist group Hamas-affiliated accounts. Know how the EU’s investigation made X take action!

The European Union (EU) is getting serious about checking if Elon Musk’s social media platform, X, is spreading false info. As you know, this platform was previously known as Twitter.

The EU wants to make sure that X is not allowing fake news about the tense situation between Israel and Hamas in the Middle East.

The EU has a new law called the Digital Services Act (DSA). This law makes it a must for big online platforms including social media sites like X to stop illegal content from spreading. If they don’t, they might have to pay heavy fines or even get banned in Europe.

X’s CEO, Linda Yaccarino, says they have removed a lot of harmful content and even some accounts linked to Hamas. But here’s the catch: X took action only after the EU started asking questions.

Before that, they let those accounts stay. And EU’s guy, Thierry Breton, has made it clear: get your act together in 24 hours, or else.

Hamas is a Palestine-based terrorists group. They’ve mascarred more than 1300 people to date, especially in Israel. They did suicide bombings, and rocket attacks, and even involved women and kids in their attacks.

Countries like the U.S., U.K., and India see them as terrorists. They want to wipe out Israel and make their own Islamic state. They’ve been doing these killings for years.

The world needs to step in and stop them. If not, more innocent people will get hurt, and peace will be a far-off dream. It’s a global problem that needs urgent fixing.

Well, X did the right thing by removing the Hamas accounts. But why wait for the EU to start an investigation? In today’s world, social media giants like X have a huge responsibility.

They can’t just be a place where anyone spreads hate or false info. If they know some accounts are linked to terrorism, they should act right away, not wait for a legal push.

It makes you wonder, doesn’t it? Are these platforms more worried about their business than global issues like terrorism? These are places where we get our daily news and updates, so they better step up and do their part responsibly.
