Doctors condemn Police violence, call for total shutdown

Delhi -Amid the growing violence in Delhi against doctors, the senior staff has taken tough calls as now they called for a total shutdown as it concerns their safety.

As per the local media reports, the doctors were marching towards the Supreme Court, and midway they were stopped by the Delhi police and just near the ITO in the afternoon. The protestors were detained and later on released by them claimed by the Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association (FORDA).

The federation released a statement saying, “There will be a complete shutdown of all healthcare institutions today onwards. We strongly condemn this brutality and demand immediate release of our FORDA representatives and resident doctors.”

They further added that the protestors were adamant on going to the apex court and the police were left with no choice but to detain them.
