Disney+ Hotstar announces a new range of exciting plans for its subscribers. These plans are aimed at different user segments and are annual plans ranging from Rs 499, Rs 899 to Rs 1,499, respectively. The pricing depends upon streaming quality, and the number of devices users want to access at one time.
Another big change is that Disney+ Hotstar users now get access to any content regardless of any price, which wasn’t the case before. Earlier, Disney TV shows, Disney+ originals, Marvel, Searchlight Pictures, HBO, Star Wars, National Geographic, FX, and much more were only for Premium users.
At Rs 499, now subscribers can access all contents in the basic plan. Users will get HD streaming quality and access the content only on mobiles.
Under the Rs 899 plan, subscribers can steam (HD) content on two devices simultaneously. The service won’t be limited to mobiles, and you can access it on your television as well.
The Rs 1499 plan will offer 4K content, and subscribers will be able to stream content on four devices simultaneously.
In an official statement, Disney+ Hotstar head and president Sunil Rayan said: “The content record proves our ongoing quest for carrying unique and locally relevant programs to our clients”.
With our new range of motion pictures and series, we are pleased that India’s top actors and industry greats have decided to debut with us and present stories defining different genres clubbed with great quality productions.
With the recently announced subscription plans, Rayan added that we would like our content to be available to our viewers. “We are offering top-class entertainment and the chance to pick the plan that best suits their requirements.”
