Delhi Police Sends Notices To Kejriwal, Atishi Over MLA Poaching Allegations

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) 5 times in connection with the Delhi Liquor Policy scam, but he has not appeared before them.

Every time he makes a new excuse either for Vipassana meditation, a Goa tour, or an election campaign. He even called the ED summons and investigations unlawful.

Amid these situations, he claimed an allegation that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is attempting to ‘poach’ AAP MLAs.

Thus the Delhi Police has issued notices to Arvind Kejriwal, and his colleague Atishi. Atishi is also a leader of the AAP Party.

Kejriwal and Atishi have been asked to provide evidence and details related to their claims by February 5.

Kejriwal has claimed that the BJP had invited him to join their party, an offer he says he refused. He also alleged that the AAP is being targeted by investigative agencies to frame them in different cases.

In contrast, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal has countered Kejriwal’s claims. Meghwal suggests that Kejriwal might be involved in the controversial liquor policy case, pointing out the ongoing investigation and the arrest of one of AAP’s ministers.

He urged Kejriwal to prove his innocence by cooperating with the Enforcement Directorate (ED), recalling how Prime Minister Modi, as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, cooperated with all the investigating agencies.

The notice sent to Kejriwal by the Delhi Police, is based on his social media post about the BJP’s alleged poaching attempts, which the police consider a “cognizable offense”.

The AAP has criticized the Delhi Police and compared their approach to that of delivery boys.

Atishi, who has accused the BJP of trying to split the AAP MLAs, has also been asked to provide evidence for her claims.

As stated above, Kejriwal has been summoned by the ED 5 times in connection with the Delhi Liquor Policy scam, but he has not appeared before them any single time.

This raises questions about the authenticity of Kejriwal and suggests that these could be a tactic to divert attention from the investigation into the scam.

The AAP government has already been involved in various alleged financial irregularities, including the Mohalla Clinic, and liquor policy case.

As the situation unfolds, the truth behind these allegations and counter-allegations will hopefully become clearer.
