Delhi CM To Run Government From Jail, Allowed to Meet 2 Ministers In A Week

Arvind Kejriwal is in Jail because of an Excise Duty case but he is making sure that the government is run effectively. According to the National General Secretary of the Aam Aadmi Party

Dr. Sandeep Pathak, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will run the government from Tihar Jail. He will meet two ministers every week to know the workings of their departments.

Punjab CM Meets Arvind Kejriwal in Jail

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Dr. Sandeep Pathak met Arvind Kejriwal on Monday in jail. The ruling party of Delhi AAP is taking full effective measures to run the government from jail and there is no chance that Arvind Kejriwal will resign from his Chief Minister position.

Dr. Sandeep Pathak portraying the plan of Arvind Kejriwal to run the government said, “ From next week the CM will call two ministers to jail every week- he will review ongoing projects in their departments and issue guidelines and directions accordingly…”.

An official of Tihar jail has stated that Arvind Kejriwal has added three ministers’ names including Atishi, Saurabh Bharadwaj, and Kailash Gahlot who can meet him two times a week.

Action Plan Of Arvind Kejriwal

Answering the question of legal terms of their plan to run the government Dr. Sandeep Pathak said, “ The government is already functioning from jail… From next week, the format to run the government from jail will start properly… We will look into legal aspects and work will be done accordingly”.

He also mentioned that Arvind Kejriwal has asked him to forward this message to all party MLAs to go and visit every household in their areas and understand their problems and concerns.

Additionally, Jail officials have said that Arvind Kejriwal is allowed to add a few names to the list of his visitors who can come and meet him but the list should not exceed 10 names.

The National General Secretary of the Aam Aadmi Party also mentioned that the CM is very much worried about the people and their basic amenities including health, education, water, and electricity.

On 15 April Arvind Kejriwal did not receive any help from the Supreme Court. SC further asked the Enforcement Directorate to reply by 24 April to the request of Arvind Kejriwal to confront his arrest in this money laundering scandal.
