India is going to get a 52 Wing Air Force Station Deesa in Gujarat. The event DefExpo 2022 will also witness ₹15,670 crores worth development projects.
At the DefExpo 22 opening ceremony on Wednesday in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the cornerstone for 52 Wing Air Force Station Deesa.

On his two-day trip to Gujarat, which is going to the polls, PM Modi will also unveil development initiatives worth Rs 15,670 crores in the state’s Gandhinagar, Junagadh, Rajkot, Narmada, and Tapi districts.
The Expo will include the largest-ever presence in the exhibition, which is being presented under the theme “Path to Pride.”
For the first time, a defense exhibition will be conducted especially for Indian businesses, including those that are joint venture partners with Indian corporations, domestic subsidiaries of foreign businesses, and divisions of Indian businesses.
PM will introduce the indigenous trainer aircraft HTT-40, created by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, at the India Pavilion of the show (HAL). The airplane was built with pilot-friendly features and state-of-the-art modern technology.

PM Modi will also introduce “Mission DefSpace” at the program, which aims to use industry and startups to develop creative defense forces in space solutions.
He will subsequently lay the cornerstone for Gujarat’s Deesa airfield. The forward air force base will strengthen the nation’s security system.
Modi will inaugurate the “Mission Schools of Excellence” in Adalaj and lay the cornerstone for a number of development projects in Junagadh among other events on Wednesday.
He will subsequently open the India Urban Housing Conclave 2022 and commemorate and lay the cornerstone of other projects in Rajkot, according to a PMO release. In the evening, he will also open an exhibition of cutting-edge building techniques in Rajkot.
The prime minister will inaugurate “Mission LiFE” on Thursday at Kevadia and then take part in the conference’s 10th “Heads of Missions” gathering. He will also lay the cornerstone for a number of development projects at Vyara.
The second Indian Ocean Region Plus (IOR+) Conclave and the second India-Africa Defence Dialogue, both with the theme “India-Africa: Adopting strategy for synergizing Defence and Security Partnership,” will also take place at DefExpo.

With more than 100 companies showcasing their inventions during the big event’s first-ever Investors’ Meet for defense, 451 alliances and launches are likely to be sealed.
