Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Inaugurates ISC Dhruv

The Defence Minister Rajnath Singh officially opened the Integrated Simulator Complex (ISC) named ‘Dhruv’ at the Southern Naval Command in Kochi on Wednesday.

According to a recent government release, the ISC ‘Dhruv’ is now equipped with advanced, indigenously built simulators that will greatly improve hands-on training for the Indian Navy.

New simulators have been developed to provide real-time experience in navigation, fleet operations, and naval tactics.

The simulators will not only be used for training personnel, but also for the training of individuals from allied nations.

According to reports, Singh recently visited several simulators at the complex, including the Multi-Station Handling Simulator (MSSHS), Air Direction and Helicopter Control Simulator (ADHCS), and the Astronavigation Dome.

The Institute for Systems Studies and Analysis, a DRDO laboratory, has developed the ADHCS. This system is designed to offer real-time operational environment scenarios to trainees.

ARI Pvt Ltd, based in New Delhi, has exported its Ship Handling Simulators to 18 different countries. Additionally, Infovision Technologies Pvt Ltd has developed the Astronavigation Dome, which is a unique addition to the Indian Navy.

In a recent statement, it was announced that technologically advanced simulators have been developed, which are seen as a significant step towards the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative.

The simulators are expected to have great potential for defense exports, which could be a major boost for the nation’s economy.

The complex has developed several simulators, including the Combat Management System and Maritime Domain Awareness Lab.

The Defence Minister engaged in discussions with top officials from the companies responsible for creating the simulators during the inauguration.
