COVID: Indians Have Stronger Immune System, 95% Indians Are Vaccinated

Experts believe that India is safer, compared to other nations. 95% Indians are already vaccinated & they’ve stronger immunity. However they must be cautious!

As COVID-19 continues to spread its venom throughout China, there are now rumors of India being locked down. A few cases of a COVID subvariant known as “BF.7” were reported in various parts of India.

Anil Goyal, Indian Medical Association’s chief medical officer, has made an important statement that shrugs off speculations about a lockdown being imposed.

Anil stated that 95% of Indians are vaccinated so no lockdown will be necessary. Dr Goyal said that the immunity of our countrymen was stronger than that of the Chinese.

According to reports, the BF.7 variant has been causing havoc in China and Japan, as well as the US and Brazil. Three cases of subvariant in India have been identified in Gujarat (1), Odisha (2).

Gujarat was the first to be affected by this deadly virus. This led to speculations about another COVID wave, and lockdown spreading like wildfire across India and the rest of the world.

To ensure that medical preparedness is maintained against the threat that is looming over the globe, both the central and the state governments have stepped in.

Dr Goyal spoke out against lockdown and said that India should switch to COVID basics – testing, treating, tracking.

India was the second country to give more than two billion vaccine doses in 2022, China being the first.

On Thursday, the Union Health Ministry data update confirmed that India had 185 new cases of coronavirus. Six cases were added to the active caseload within 24 hours.

Most likely, the government will make mandatory mask use at airports and public places. To ensure their safety, citizens must take precautionary measures. They should switch to masks or hand sanitizers.

Former director AIIMS Dr Randeep Guleria believes India should be cautious due to the alarming rise in COVID-19-related cases in China.

Dr Guleria believes India must keep its systems alert and increase our public health response to new coronavirus variants.
