Cops hint at Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister’s hand in his murder

Things are taking turn in Sushant Singh Rajput’s alleged murder case after Rhea Chakraboty, prime traget of the media, filed a complaint against sister of the late actor and now the Mumbai Police has also pointed finger at the family members.

The Central Bureau of Investigation which is now incharge of the case said that the complaint filed by Chakraborty was “vitiated and bad in law” to which Mumbai police said that the complaint “disclosed commission of offence”. After an affidavit filed in the court, Mumbai Police dismissed reports of any biases and said that it was ‘duty bound to report an FIR.

This may have led to administration of psychotropic substances without actual examination of Rajput by the doctor, and may have caused and contributed to his suicidal death. This version of the informant disclosed cognisable offences warranting investigation and requiring no preliminary enquiry. Therefore, the Mumbai police were duty-bound to register the FIR

The affidavit however revealed some shocking details in the case. “The FIR was registered based on the information provided by the first informant (Rhea Chakraborty), disclosing commission of offence,” the affidavit read. The document especially stressed on “a fake medical prescription was sent by the petitioners with the help of a Delhi-based doctor wherein medicines for anxiety were prescribed to Rajput”.

Mumbai Police in their statement said, “This may have led to administration of psychotropic substances without actual examination of Rajput by the doctor, and may have caused and contributed to his suicidal death. This version of the informant disclosed cognisable offences warranting investigation and requiring no preliminary enquiry. Therefore, the Mumbai police were duty-bound to register the FIR.”

After her release from the jail, one of the first things that Rhea did was to file a complaint against the two sisters of the late actor. She reportedly asked the Bombay High Court not to dismiss the case against two sisters. She has been facing multiple investigations since the death of Rajput and has been made the sole target by the media.

Her complaint is said to be based on one of the chats exchanged between his sister, Priyanka, and the actor where the former is advising Rajput to take some antidepressants—Librium, Mexito and Lonazep. This is contradictory to the claims of the family members who said that they were unaware of his health condition. CBI did not support these allegations by the Chakraborty and said that these are in fact ‘presumptive and speculative’ but it assured the court that it will not let any external factor hamper the ongoing investigation.
