CES 2024: Intel Unveils 14th Generation Processors For Laptops, Mobiles

The computer chips-making company, Intel has just released their latest processors called the 14th Generation. They presented these new chips at the big tech event CES 2024. These Intel 14th Gen processors are special because they’re made for gaming laptops as well as for normal desktop computers.

The event CES stands for Consumer Electronics Show. It is an annual trade show organized by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA).

The main highlight is the HX-series mobile processors. These are really powerful and made for people who love gaming, making videos, or need to do heavy work on their laptops. 

The best one in this series is the Intel Core i9-14900HX. It has 8 really fast cores for doing big tasks and 16 efficient cores for smaller tasks. This means it can handle lots of different jobs at the same time very well.

There’s also a big improvement in the Intel Core i7-14700HX processors. They have 50% more of these efficient cores, which is great for people who create content like videos or graphics.

One of the most exciting things about these new processors is how fast they are. They can go up to 5.8 GHz, which is a technical way of saying they’re really quick. For gamers, this means games will run 17% better, and for everyone, it means doing lots of things at once (like having many apps open) will be 51% faster than before.

Intel is also introducing the Intel Core U Processor Series 1, starting with the Intel Core 7 processor 150U. These are for thinner, lighter laptops but still offer good performance. They’re going to be in the market in the first few months of 2024.
