As the Golden State Warriors defeated the Boston Celtics 103-90 in Game 6 to win the NBA finals, Stephen Curry made 34 points and was awarded the Finals MVP.
The Golden State Warriors have won the NBA championship four times in the previous eight seasons after defeating the Boston Celtics 103-90 on Thursday night.
The Warriors won the franchise’s seventh overall championship as a result of Stephen Curry’s 34 points and MVP honors in the NBA Finals.

Curry remarked after the Warriors took the championship trophy then jubilated on the court, “We found a way to simply get it done.”
Curry was so overcome with passion that he choked up as he tried to explain the Warriors’ latest championship victory. He also said,
“It’s part of a championship pedigree, our experience. We built this for 10-11 years. That means a lot when you get to this stage.”

The Celtics started off well and quickly built a 14-2 lead thanks to the loud TD Garden crowd’s enthusiasm.
Golden State didn’t let the setback get to them and answered with a 35-8 run that lasted into the 2nd quarter and helped them increase their advantage to as much as 22 points.
As some Celtics supporters criticized the home team as they departed the field, the Warriors defeated the Celtics 27-17 for the session and led 54-39 going into the second half.
Boston made a comeback in the 3rd, but the Warriors restored their range from deep, sinking six threes.
