The leader has also been convicted for four previous cases related to the fodder scam and is currently out on bail.
The final order was given by special judge SK Sashi who, along with the conviction, also announced acquiring 24 others in the matters related to withdrawal of money.
The charges on the mega political figure dates back to 1995-1996. The court announced maximum punishment for 34 charged in the matter and the fines imposed on them ranged from Rs 20,000 to Rs 2 lakh. The final sentence, however, will be announced on February 21 on the other 41 accused.
As per the records of the court, the initial charges were framed on September 26, 2005 and the closure of evidence submission came on May 16, 2019. The statements of the accused were recorded on January 16, 2020. The case went on for a long duration with various twits and charges being placed.
Yadav has been convicted for four cases and is presently out on bail after serving half sentence inside the prison. Another case is pending before CBI Patna related to the illegal withdrawal of money from Banka-Bhagalpur treasury.
The four cases which were pressed on Yadav already concluded with a conviction hence concluding half of his prison term. The fourth one was about the illegal withdrawal from Dumka treasury to the tune of Rs 3.13 crore for which he received seven years of imprisonment.
