When users punch up the individual’s conversation thread, they will also see a similar blurb.
With the addition of this function, users will be able to let the caller know that the call was not purposefully ignored as it was placed on the do not disturb list by sharing the screenshot of the indicator with them.
In the meantime, WhatsApp had added new group voice call features in June, including the ability to mute and message other participants as well as display banner notifications while in a group conversation.

Users will see a banner notification that reads, “X joined the call,” whenever a new participant joins a group voice call while they are offscreen.
On a group voice call, users can also mute other participants. By using this feature, users won’t accidentally listen to background chatter as they try to understand what someone else is saying.
