Breaking News: Gold Price in Chennai Sees Sharp Increase

Gold prices in Chennai saw a significant rise on November 8, gaining Rs 680 per sovereign after a drop of Rs 1,320 the previous day. As of Friday gold is being sold for Rs 58,280 per sovereign, up from Rs 57,600 on Thursday. DTNext, a local news source confirmed the news.

Gold prices had been on a remarkable upward trend in October crossing Rs 57,000, Rs 58,000, and even Rs 59,000 for the first time in days. The continuous surge led to expectations that the price could hit the Rs 60,000 mark during the Dhanteras and Deepavali festivals. However, after the festivals, the prices cooled off, and on November 7, there was a sharp drop of Rs 1,320 per sovereign.

In a surprising turn gold prices have rebounded today reflecting a market shift. The volatility in gold prices continues to capture the attention of buyers and investors across the city.
