“Brahmastra blockbuster, will soon cross 300 crores!”

Hearing this, there must be a lot of joy and many will also be feeling sad. But this game is not that easy and neither are the players who play it. 

Seeing the illusion in which they are putting the public, then even the biggest scamsters may get surprised that where have we gone wrong. 

In this article, we will know in detail, let alone a blockbuster, Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’ is not even an average success. 

At present, a unique narrative is being created by twisting the numbers to make the masses look inferior and to promote substandard Bollywood content.

Bollywood Money Makers vs Boycott Trend

The makers of Brahamastra spread such an illusion that now almost every report in the media is full of contradictions of Brahmastra. 

No one will tell how much the collection actually was, but they’re saying that Brahmastra saved Bollywood, Brahmastra taught a lesson to the Boycott gang.

Thus it seems they’re trying to prove that Nepotism won and the public lost through the Brahmastra movie.

The headlines are full of the daily box office status of this film and many trade analysts and self-proclaimed critics are so excited about this film. But what is the truth? Let’s unveil the actual box office collection of the Brahamastra film.

Brahmastra Claimed 240 Crores Collection

In the opening weekend, Brahmastra was screened on 9000 screens worldwide, of which about 6000 were in India alone. 

Now how much is the first day collection? If the media is to be believed, then the opening weekend reached above 40 crores and opening weekend collection was 140 crores. 

So the total box office collection reached 240 crores. Even Dharma Productions itself admitted that its opening weekend is 225 crores.

But the truth is something else. According to the report of Bollywood Hungama, the film has earned around 120.75 crores in the opening weekend. 

If foreign collections are added to this, then it will be 209.47 crores. This is much less than the figures given by Dharma and if we look at the domestic figures, then it is not even half (50%) of the budget of 410 crores.

Brahmastra Is A 50% Flop Till Date

Now in comparison, let us also look at the films which are being talked about by the media to beat them. 

RRR brought in a global collection of more than 500 crores in the opening weekend, which was more than what it needed to recover from its budget of 550 crores. 

On the other hand, KGF Chapter 2, which was made on a budget of just 100 crores, collected more than 400 crores. 

Not only this, The Kashmir Files, which was made in a budget of only 15 crores, also earned 27 crores more than its budget in the opening weekend. 

In such a situation, the collection of Brahmastra has earned only 50% of its budget. So ultimately the Brahmastra film could not even collect its budget yet, they are still 50% far away from making profits.
