While the Bihar Assembly polls are only a month away, the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP)’s cultural wing has launched a poster of the late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Despite the fact that the party asserted that Rajput’s death isn’t a matter for elections, yet its cultural wing is using this for campaigning in the form of stickers, protest march, and car posters.

The car posters say, “Na bhule hain, na bhulne denge. We have neither forgotten nor will let anyone forget Sushant”, with the logo of “Kala evam Sanskriti Prakosth’, BJP (Bihar) on it”, The Indian Express reported.

The Rashtriya Janata Dal’s (RJD) Rajya Sabha MP Manoj Jha slammed the BJP for printing and distributing Sushant Singh Rajput’s posters during the Bihar election campaign. Jha said, “Whom are you asking justice for? Who are you fooling? The people of Bihar are aware. BJP already has a stable govt in the Center. Our party leader Tejaswi requested a CBI inquiry in Sushant’s case, yet we didn’t print posters at that time, He added.

As per ANI, The BJP’s art and culture wing has printed and circulated around 25,000 car stickers of Sushant photo since July. They have also printed 30,000 face masks with a similar message and will circulate them as well.

Varun Kumar Singh, BJP’s cultural wing’s state coordinator stated that “this is not a political matter; however, this is a matter close to my heart. We had requested for a CBI probe to for Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, NDTV reported.

The Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala blamed the BJP for misusing the Sushant Singh Rajput’s case for its political program. “BJP and Nitish Kumar have no answers for the economic slowdown and floods in Bihar. In order to divert the attention of people, they are utilizing the Sushant’s death case, NDTV described.

In response, the Bihar BJP spokesperson Nikhil Anand stated, “BJP’s cultural wing has been operating for the welfare of the artists. They are only honoring the late actor and require justice for him, and, there is no political step in it.”

The Bihar Assembly polls for 243 seats are expected in Oct-Nov; the Election Commission (EC) has not yet declared the Bihar polls date because of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic and have asked suggestions from other political parties.
