BJP Leader’s Son Vanishes After Audi Crash in Nagpur, Injuring Several

A terrible car accident occurred in Nagpur city India early Monday morning. The car involved was an expensive Audi which the Sanket Bawankule owned. Sanket is the son of Chandrashekhar Bawankule, a prominent political leader in the Maharashtra BJP political party.

The Audi was seen driving away from a pub at around 1 in the morning. It then went on to ram into several other vehicles which were on the road. First, it hit a Volkswagen Polo car. It then crossed into the moped, a small motorcycle, and a young couple who were riding it got injured.

These crashes led to the disappearance of Sanket from the scene, according to the Indian media. Two other persons were also arrested by the police who were in the Audi; the driver was identified as Arjun Hawre while the other was Ronit Chittamwar. The police are investigating whether these two were taking alcohol.

It did not stop after crashing into the first few cars in the list above. It continued and knocked more cars. Last but not least the people near the Polo car that was hit in the above incident followed the Audi and managed to make it to a stop near the bridge.

The police are now investigating what happened. They are still trying to watch the security camera videos to get the whole picture of the event. They have reported him for dangerous driving but have not arrested Sanket to date.

Sanket’s father, a BJP leader told the reporters that all right; the car was his son’s. He said the police should act as independent investigators and give appropriate consequences to whoever is wrong, even if that is his son. He said he had not discussed this case with any of the police officers.

The police are saying they still retain facts of this case and act further once they have all the facts.
