The International cricket is on the verge, to begin with, the England and Wales Cricket Board leading the way. ECB is hoping to make a bio-secure bubble for players to guarantee their health and safety amid the Covid-19 pandemic. However, Rahul Dravid feels that this formula won’t work for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and that there should be a better virus strategy for players.
“The ECB is extremely quick to lead these arrangements since there has been no cricket and we are in the middle of a season but it is somewhat unrealistic to have things at the ECB level” Dravid stated.
In a bio-bubble strategy, when all the testing is completed, with quarantine protocols, and afterward, on day two of the Test Series if one player tests positive. What happens at that point? As per the Public Health Department will all the players be quarantined?” he stated.
Britain’s cricket board is thinking about alternatives regarding the home series against West Indies and Pakistan in July-August. As per a report in The Guardian, England players would be gathering at the Ageas Bowl on June 23 and they may have to live away from their families for nine weeks until the Test series against Pakistan ends.
Dravid stated that regardless of whether the ECB figures out how to pull off the matches in bio-secure conditions, the formula might not suit many nations.
The BCCI, as far as its concerns said that it has no bio-bubble plans of the ECB and South Africa’s cricket board have discussed. “As per BCCI, said we will wait for the government’s guideline.

Dravid who presently heads the National Cricket Academy cited that the Health Department and Government authorities must find a solution or plan if a player tests positive, the entire test series shouldn’t be dropped. Playing without supporters is a very big change which the players would have to adjust to and play their level best despite the absence of cheer and applause, Rahul stated.
