BGMI Battlegrounds Mobile India Is Returning To India

Last updated on July 25th, 2023 at 11:26 am

Indian Govt has lifted the ban of BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India). Thus it will soon be available to download on Google Play Store.

Battlegrounds Mobile India, also known as BGMI, has made a comeback in India and is now available for download on the Google Play store for Android smartphones.

The game’s developer, Krafton, expressed gratitude to the Indian government for lifting the ban that was imposed last year due to security concerns.

However, BGMI is not yet available on the Apple App Store for iOS devices, but it may become available in the near future.

To download BGMI, users need to visit the game’s official website and click on the Play button, which redirects them to the download page on the Google Play store. The game can be downloaded for free.

Although users can download the game, there have been server-related issues preventing players from accessing and playing the game. Krafton is expected to address and resolve these problems soon.

BGMI’s return to the Indian market is conditional, with the government setting certain rules for Krafton to follow.

These include adding a time limit to the game to mitigate addiction and modifying the user interface to be more suitable for Indian audiences.

It is worth noting that before the ban, BGMI was already tailored for Indian users, and Krafton had partnered with Microsoft Azure to ensure the security of Indian users’ data.

Krafton has expressed gratitude to the Indian authorities for allowing them to resume BGMI’s operations in India.

The company’s CEO, Sean Hyunil Sohn, emphasized their commitment to the Indian gaming ecosystem.

The return of BGMI is welcomed by professional mobile gamers and the gaming industry as a whole, as it holds tremendous potential.

BGMI has already achieved significant milestones, reaching 100 million users within a year of its launch.

The game made history by being the first esports event to be broadcasted on mainstream television, attracting 24 million concurrent viewers and a total of 200 million viewers.
