Indian government has approved the BCCI's request

The IPL governing committee head Brijesh Patel affirmed that the Indian government has approved the BCCI’s request to hold the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
On Tuesday, the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) stated the IPL will begin from September 19 to November 10 in the UAE.
Right now, however, the BCCI‘s main concern is to decide a replacement sponsor following the suspension of the IPL’s earlier contract with Vivo.
The Chinese cell phone company got the IPL title sponsorship for Rs 2,199 crore in a five-year contract in 2018. It has suspended its contract for the 2020 release with the Indian Board.
