Bandicoots: World’s First Robotic Scavengers, At WEF 2023

The first robotic scavenger in the world, Bandicoot, made its debut in the Indian Sustainability Lounge during the World Economic Forum 2023.

The “world’s first robotic scavenger,” Bandicoot, was unveiled at the Indian Sustainability Lounge during the World Economic Forum 2023 by Genrobotics, a top robotics company in India.

One of the most aspirational industries in the world now is clean technology. The Bandicoot from Genrobotics and their other product lines effectively incorporate cutting-edge technology like robotics and artificial intelligence for a variety of sanitary demands.

The Indian Ministry of Industry and Commerce chose Genrobotics, a start-up with headquarters in Kerala and a 2017 incorporation, to produce Bandicoot, and to exhibit the product at Davos, Switzerland.

The co-founders of Genrobotics, Mr. Vimal Govind MK, Mr. Rashid K, Mr. Arun George, and Mr. Nikhil NP, attended the meeting alongside a number of prominent Indian businessmen, including Mr. Gautam Adani, founder and chairman of the Adani Group; Mr. Natarajan Chandrasekaran, chairman of Tata Sons India; Mr. Rishad Premji, executive chairman of Wipro; Mr. Adar Poon.

Bandicoot, the first robotic scavenger in the world, generated a lot of excitement during the World Economic Forum, with government representatives from numerous nations displaying a keen interest in the product.

The co-founders of Genrobotics met with representatives from Canada, Germany, and many other European nations to consider bringing their clean-tech goods and services to other nations.

In addition to Bandicoot, an advanced clean-tech product for skyscraper maintenance called G Beetle and a robotic rover called Wilboar that efficiently cleans huge constrained spaces in the oil and gas, chemical, and sanitation industries can also be used in the global context.

To address the sanitary needs of the region, these items have already been shipped to a number of ASEAN markets.

The robotic scavenger was designed by Genrobotics, an India-based national startup award-winning robotics business, to replace the practice of manual scavenging and cleaning in small places.

Genrobotics was developed under the Kerala Start-Up Mission (KSUM). Inhumanity of human assistance in cleaning these locations and associated risks have been successfully eliminated by Bandicoot.

By introducing sustainability to the process and offering underground sewage care with the highest level of efficiency and safety, the Bandicoot robot has had an influence on the sanitation industry in India.

This has provided a model for how a nation might develop and accept new technology by supporting its start-up ecosystem.

In addition to the industry’s technological breakthroughs, Genrobotics has significantly improved the Indian economy by giving the nation’s young greater employment options.

Other product series, including Wilboar and G Beetle, are on their way to bringing about a revolution in clean-tech robotics with a global perspective through further research in robotics and AI.

Genrobotics had a significant presence in the Indian Sustainability Lounge at the 2023 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, as a result of this influence.
