The series is directed by Satyagraha filmmaker Prakash Jha. The shoot was going on in Bhopal and as per the reports in media, the director had it rough with the Dal leaders who smeared his face with ink.
Many videos circulating on social media show how the set was vandalised and how the crew members were being treated by the members of the notorious group. A few of the videos show crew members chasing one of them and beating him to death.
One of the witnesses posted a video on twitter that showed the intensity with which the attack was carried out.
According to the leaders of the group, the third season of the series is an attack on Hinduism and hence they threatened the crew to not let them go ahead with the shooting till they make some changes with it. Bajrang Dal is demanding the change of title and some of the scenes from the original script.
Jha has not filed any complaint in the matter and as per one of the leaders of Dal, he assured them of changing the title. The mob that had attacked the set was seen shouting “Prakash Jha Murdabad”, “Bobby Deol Murdabad” and “Jai Shri Ram” among other things.
Sushil Sudeley revealed while talking to the media that in the Ashram, Prakash Jha showed a guru abusing women. He further questioned whether he dared to do the same thing with any Madarsa or Church. “So far, we have just blackened Prakash Jha’s face. We are looking for Bobby Deol. He should learn something from Sunny Deol,” he was caught adding further. Senior police officer Irshad Wali said that even though any complaint has not been lodged, action will surely be taken against those who vandalised the sets of the series.
