Ayushmann Khurrana joins the UNICEF’s campaign to end violence against children

Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana has joined the UNICEF India as a youth icon for promoting rights for children. The 35-year-old superstar will work for the initiative in India. Ayushmann stated, that he is very happy to collaborate with UNICEF as a celebrity advocate. He believes that every child deserves a good start in life, he added.”

Dr. Yasmin Ali Haque, UNICEF Representative in India expressed her happiness to welcome the actor as a UNICEF celebrity advocate. Ayushmann is a talented actor and has successfully portrait challenging roles in his movie. He will bring passion, sensitivity, and a strong voice for every child, with a particular aiming towards achieving an end to violence against kids, she added.”

Ayushmann’s support will assist in increasing awareness about this significant issue, particularly now with coronavirus pandemic intensifying the threat of violence and mistreatment against children,” she included.

Ayushmann’s Instagram post stated “As I watch my children play in safely at our home, I think about all the kids who never got the chance to have a sheltered childhood and experience violence outside or at home.

He added that with UNICEF, he anticipates supporting the rights of the most vulnerable children, so they grow up as healthier, joyful, and become more fortunate educated citizens free from violence.”
