Australia Comes Closer To India To Accomplish Its Zero Emission Promise

Last updated on October 26th, 2022 at 10:17 am

Australia is moving one step forward in its relationships with the Quad group. India is one such significant partner in this transition of trade partnerships under which, it has signed a letter of intent (LoI) with Australia. The LoI will usher in an era of new and renewable energy technology aimed at scaling up manufacturing and deployment of ultra, low-cost solar and clean hydrogen.

Australia has been seen as the last performer in the race of meeting the zero-emission targets set at the Paris Agreement talks. Its sole dependency on coal and its heavy export has been hit, since carbon emissions were made as a climate crisis that the world has to wake up to. There is a zero-emission target to be met by the end of 2030 worldwide.
