ATK Mohun Bagan acquired Florentin Pogba for the upcoming season. to play in the ISL. He left the French Club one year before the closing of his current contract.

ATK Mohun Bagan of the Indian Super League (ISL) has made a big statement by selecting Florentin Pogba for the latest series.

FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, where Pogba played in Ligue 2, verified the story; however, ATK Mohun Bagan has not yet made an official announcement about the acquisition.

Florentin Pogba To Wear ATK Mohun Bagan Jersey

While Paul Pogba appears to be joining Juventus and returning to Italy, Ligue 1 team FC Sochaux-Montbéliard has announced that Florentin Pogba has left the team one year before the end of his contract. 

The statement went on to say that the 31-year-old international defender from Guinea wanted to experience a different league, which is why he was moved to ATK Mohun Bagan FC. 

In addition to Pogba, ATK Mohun Bagan has hired Brendan Hamill, a past winner of the Asian Champions League, Ashique Kuruniyan from Bengaluru FC, and Asish Rai from ISL winners Hyderabad FC. 

Before joining ATK Mohun Bagan prior to the ISL 2022/23 season, Rai, who gained notoriety during his time at Indian Arrows from 2017 to 2019, completed a number of 48 matches for the ISL champions.

Football Career Of Florentin Pogba

In his professional career, Florentin Pogba has represented a number of clubs. Florentine played for FC Sochaux after six years with St. Etienne, during which time he was loaned to Sedan of another French team. 

The defender joined Gençlerbirligi S.K in Turkey in 2018, but he departed the squad after getting into an altercation with his colleagues following a Turkish Super Lig loss to Antalyaspor.

Following his time in Turkey, Florentin Pogba moved to the US to play for Atlanta United in Major League Soccer. 

The defenders won the US Open Cup & Campeones Cup, the first two significant trophies of his career path, while playing in the Major League Soccer. 

After his time in the MLS, Pogba played for Sochaux for two seasons, earning 62 games.
