Indian swimmer Aryan Singh has leveled the world record after swimming the Sea of Galilee in his first attempt, which is the 2nd lowest water body in the world.
Aryan Singh Dadiala, an Indian swimmer, equaled the previous world record on Friday, making history. He overcame adverse weather to become one of the quickest swimmers to cross the Sea of Galilee.
The Sea of Galilee is the second-lowest body of water on earth. It measures about 214 meters below sea level and presents swimmers with a variety of difficulties, including whirlpools and never-ending wind storms.
The first Asian swimmer to cross the Sea of Galilee is Dadalia. After completing the 32 km open water sea swim in just 5 hours and 36 minutes.
Aryan hoggarded the spotlight to set the world record in November 2022 in Goa as well. It was his first time trying to swim the Sea of Galilee, yet he succeeded like a champion.
On Friday at 5:18 a.m., when it was absolutely black and freezing, he began swimming in the Sea of Galilee. He completed the swim at exactly 11:33 a.m., becoming the co-fastest male swimmer to complete the swim on his first attempt.
Surjeet Dadiala, Aryan’s father, expressed pride in both his son and the nation as a whole. In an interview, he stated, “Aryan overcame many weather-related and physical difficulties during his swim, including heavy winds and fatigue, but was firm and focused on his swimming.”
The event was marked off by Indian ambassador Pawan K. Pal, who oversees the public diplomacy branch at the Indian embassy in Tel Aviv, and is observed and certified by the Galilee Marathon Swimming Association, Israel. This 21-year-old Indian swimmer Aryan Singh Dadiala broke records and went swimming across the Sea of Galilee.
Aryan swam 5 kilometers in 6 hours and 15 minutes. A tweet from the Indian mission read, “Congratulations to this young superstar for demonstrating great feats of determination and expertise.”
Aryan Singh made this attempt with the support of his entire family, and he plans to continue taking on similarly difficult tasks in the near future.
