Apple Vision Pro To Run On VisionOS For Enhanced Virtual Experience

The latest headsets Apple Vision Pro will run on the latest  operating system VisionOS for the advanced AR & VR world.

At the Apple WWDC 2023 event, Apple unveiled the highly-anticipated headset Apple Vision Pro, that will be powered by VisionOS. Apple has claimed that VisionOS is a software specifically designed for ‘spatial computing’.

The incorporation of Apple Vision Pro headset and VisionOS software encompasses augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) experiences.

VisionOS focuses on seamlessly integrating digital elements into the real world and offers a dynamic 3D interface that adapts to lighting conditions for an optimal user experience.

With VisionOS running on the Vision Pro headset, users can control functions through hand gestures, eye movements, and voice commands.

The software enables icons and user interface windows to be displayed in the wearer’s surroundings, and even allows text entry by simply looking at the search bar through the headset’s lenses.

The headset can handle multiple apps and sync with other Apple products to enhance productivity.

Apple also introduced the Optic ID feature, which uses iris scanning for secure authentication. The EyeSight feature serves as a communication bridge between the wearer and the virtual world.

This data is encrypted to protect user privacy. Additionally, the Vision Pro supports screen transfer from Mac devices, allowing users to scale the display size in a realistic environment.

VisionOS will have its own app store exclusively for Vision Pro, with app development opportunities which will be open to third-party developers.

At the time of launch, the app store will feature apps from Adobe, Microsoft, Zoom, and other developers.
