Apple had plans to release its largest-ever iPad, a 14-inch model, but it’s now postponed. This big iPad would have been over 1 inch bigger than the current 12.9-inch iPad Pro. The delay may be due to Apple switching to OLED displays.
In June 2022, a leaker named Majin Bu mentioned that Apple was working on a 14.1-inch iPad Pro with powerful hardware. Another analyst, Ross Young, confirmed a similar iPad Pro was in development, with an expected early 2023 release.
While the big iPad isn’t coming soon, Apple is working on a new Magic Keyboard for its iPads. This keyboard will have a larger trackpad, making it feel more like a laptop.
What’s exciting is that the top case of the Magic Keyboard will be made from aluminum, the same material used in MacBooks. This will give it a more premium look and feel, and it should be sturdier than the current keyboard.
The new Magic Keyboard will continue to have a USB Type-C port. Apple’s iPhone 15 series is also set to use this port when it launches.
There’s no official word on the price yet, but it’s expected to be at least as expensive as the current Magic Keyboard, which starts at $300.
In addition to the new Magic Keyboard, Apple is planning to update the next-gen iPad Pro. It will have a larger display, a better chipset, and possibly an OLED screen. This iPad Pro may also resemble a MacBook, especially when used with the upgraded Magic Keyboard.
The use of aluminum in the Magic Keyboard should make it more durable, but it might also make it pricier. The current Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro costs $299.
The new iPad Pro will continue to use a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. This change comes as Apple is moving away from its proprietary lightning port, following EU guidelines.

Apple has announced that its annual September event will take place on September 12th. During this event, Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 15 lineup and new versions of other devices.
Rumors suggest that the iPhone 15 models may ditch the notch and use the Dynamic Island cutout seen in the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max may also have thinner bezels and a titanium frame.
Additionally, Apple may finally switch from the Lightning port to USB-C with the iPhone 15 lineup, as all devices sold in the European Union will be required to use USB-C starting next year.
The event may also provide updates on the Apple Watch and potentially include a surprise announcement.
