Anocovax: India Launches Vaccine To Keep Animals COVID-Free

India is upholding its ‘Civilisational’ principles in a world full of self-centered and profit-driven nations. It is based on the notion that God exists in all living things, whether they are flora or animals, humans or livestock.

The big countries are fighting tooth and nail to satisfy their appetites. India, on the other hand, is figuring out how to help a wider range of living things.

After assisting the globe in vaccinating humans, India has devised a method for vaccinating livestock and wildlife.

Ancovax: India’s First COVID-19 Vaccine for Animals

Narendra Singh Tomar, the Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, has announced an animal vaccination.

Ancovax is the country’s first domestically produced animal vaccination. The ICAR-National Research Centre on Equines created it (NRC).

It is effective against both SARS-CoV-2 strains and builds immunity against them. As a result, the animals will be protected by neutralizing both Delta as well as Omicron types.

The manufacturer reports that the vaccine is safe for dogs, lions, leopards, mice, and rabbits. The vaccine uses Alhydrogel as an adjuvant and contains inactivated SARS-CoV-2 (Delta) antigen.

Minister Tomar praised the work of Indian scientists when releasing the animal vaccination. In terms of immunization, he praised India’s self-sufficiency. He said,

“It is due to the untiring contributions of scientists that the country stands self-reliant in developing its own vaccines rather than importing. This is really a big achievement.”

Animals’ Health Care

Aside from Ancovax, the Minister also announced the ‘CAN-CoV-2 ELISA kit’ for canine COVID antibody detection.

The most astonishing element of this kit is that it is entirely made in the United States. The ICAR has also submitted a patent application.

In addition, the minister unveiled the Equine DNA parentage testing kit, a potent genomic tool for determining horse paternity.

India’s Contribution To The World

We’d witnessed how the world’s most powerful nations accumulated COVID vaccinations. According to some sources, these countries were forced to dump it once it expired.

However, the emerging and underdeveloped worlds were unable to obtain enough vaccinations.

India demonstrated its underlying idea that everyone is equal in this way as well. In order to ensure equal distribution of COVID vaccinations, India and South Africa petitioned for a TRIPS waiver.

These Ancovax vaccinations and testing kits are yet another contribution from India to innocent animals.
