Film Director and Kans producer Mr.Ram Gopal Varma on the social networking sites like twitter paying tribute to Aswini Dutt and emphasizing the noble intention of Amitabh Bachchan for signing the Kans. Aswini Dutt owns the famous Vyjayanthi Movies that is among the leading production studios in the Telugu film industry, set up in 1974. He has invested in several big movies with NTR, ANR, Krishna, Sobhan Babu, Krishnam Raju, Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Balakrishna, Nagarjuna, Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun Jr. NTR, Ram Charan etc.

In its early years Vyjayanthi Movies produced many successful films and one such very popular and cult classic movie is Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari released in 1990 with Chiranjeevi and Sridevi in the lead roles. This 1997 film is one of Aswini Dutt’s favorites.
