On Monday, the opposition parties targeted the NDA government and asked for a standing committee procedural structure for the  Criminal Procedure (Identification) Bill. The bill is being introduced by the central government for the police officials so that they can stay steps ahead of criminals.

“It is meant to keep our police ahead of criminals. Next-generation crimes cannot be tackled with old techniques; we have to try to take the criminal justice system to the next era,” he stressed.

The opposition parties wanted to further investigate the matter and hence Shah addressed these concerns saying that the bill will be safeguarding human rights of those who have been victims of the crimes in the nations and the bill will ensure that it will not just be restricted to criminals.

Shah also added that there should not be much concern in this regard as the provisions in the law will be framed specific to the states. The bill will be executed in such a way that the officials are provided with all the necessary technology so that it can be used to safeguard the sata. These technologies can also be used to ensure rights of the workers.
