Biswa Kalyan Rath’s latest series ‘Mood Kharaab’ aims to bring smiles on audience’s faces and offer a full dose of laughter. He said, “Life Has Come Full Circle”.

Amazon Prime Video is set to release a new stand-up comedy special called “Mood Kharaab” on May 5.

The special series, which was shot in London, features comedian Biswa Kalyan Rath performing in his trademark rant style, tackling relatable topics such as online shopping, childhood frustrations, and the metaverse.

The series ‘Mood Kharaab’ is produced by OML Productions and directed by Kanan Gill, another well-known comedian in India.

Rath has worked with Prime Video before, having premiered his first stand-up special, “Biswa Mast Aadmi,” on the platform in 2017. He has also collaborated with the company on Comicstaan Seasons 1 and 2.

In addition to “Mood Kharaab,” Prime Video has announced plans to double its investment in India over the next five years and launch 40 new titles in the next two years, including both scripted and unscripted originals.

Some of the upcoming scripted originals include a supernatural thriller called “Adhura,” Excel Entertainment’s “Bambai Meri Jaan,” Karan Johar’s “Call Me Bae,” and a serial killer drama starring Sonakshi Sinha called “Dahaad.” Returning seasons of “Made In Heaven” and “Mirzapur” are also in the works.

Unscripted originals will include a documentary about Punjabi hip-hop singer AP Dhillon and a docuseries called “India Love Project,” produced in collaboration with Karan Johar.

Amazon will also co-produce Vidya Balan’s “Neeyat” and Dharma Productions’ next project with Vicky Kaushal, both of which will be available on the platform after their theatrical releases.

Amazon Prime Video will also acquire the streaming rights for several post-theatrical releases, including Ajay Devgn’s “Bholaa,” Karan Johar’s “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani,” Excel Media’s “Jee Le Zara” and “Kho Gaye Hain Hum Kahan,” and Yash Raj Films’ “Tiger 3.”
