Veteran playback singer Alka Yagnik has recently shared a shocking update on her IG page, she said that she has been diagnosed with a rare disorder resulting in severe hearing loss.
Alka Yagnik hare her condition with her fans and well-wishers on official IG plateform. In her heartfelt post, she wrote, “To all my fans, friends, followers, and well-wishers. A few weeks ago, when I got off a flight, I realized I couldn’t hear anything. Gathering some courage after several weeks of this incident, I am now telling this to my friends and well-wishers, who keep asking me where I have disappeared to.”
Alka explained that her doctors diagnosed her with a rare sensorineural hearing loss caused by a viral attack. She described the experience as a “sudden big shock” and shared her struggle to come to terms with it. “I am trying to accept it myself and want you all to remember me in your prayers,” she continued.
She requested to avoid loud music and use headphones for a longer time. “Someday I will definitely talk about the damage to my professional life and health,” she wrote. “With all your love and support, I hope to get my life back on track. I want to meet you again soon. Your support and understanding on this delicate occasion mean a lot to me.”
Many famous singers and celebrities have expressed their support for Alka. Sonu Nigam commented on her post, saying, “I knew something was wrong. I will come back and see you soon.” Ila Arun also shared her sympathy, writing, “I feel very bad to hear this. Dear Alka, I commented ‘beautiful’ earlier only after seeing the photo, but then I read the caption and was so sad. I pray that you get well soon.”
