Akasa Air To Start Flight Operations From Delhi From Today

The founder & CEO of Akasa Air said that the airline company is operating 6 aircraft currently. They’re planning to add 18 more aircrafts by March 2023.

The newest airline in India, Akasa Air, which debuted 2 months ago, is attempting to increase the number of flights it offers.

Delhi, the national capital, is the newest addition to its network. Beginning tomorrow, October 7, the airline will begin operating flights to Delhi. With the addition of Delhi to their network, they will serve various Indian metropolises with their current 30 daily flight schedules.

The airline’s co-founder & chief commercial officer, Praveen Iyer, claims that the company’s network is always expanding and connecting new locations. It should be mentioned that the airline currently has a total of 6 aircraft.

The newest airline in India plans to increase its fleet to 18 planes by March 2023. Additionally, sources indicate that the airline intends to launch its international operations as soon as the fleet is finished.

The founder & CEO of Akasa Air, Vinay Dube said that the airline company is well-capitalized and that its expansion is secure with the financial wherewithal to make an order for more planes on August 17, a few days after Jhunjhunwala’s passing.

The future course of the company will be attentively examined in light of the passing of legendary investor Jhunjhuwala, whose backing alone had given the country’s newest airline a boost.

On Thursday, the CEO of Akasa Air expressed appreciation for the government’s Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS) and stressed the significance of the government’s sustained support for the aviation sector.

Vinay Dube said that the government’s support enhances startup airlines as well. Startup airlines are also operating in difficult environments. He said that they will be more than happy to get any kind of government support.

He added that Akasa Air company looks at the affordability of airfares in a much longer time horizon, and their vision is to have a high degree of focus on infrastructure.

The CEO Vinay said that Akasa Airlines has a total staff of more than 800, and nearly 175 new people are joining every month.
