Two women had to leave a plane because they didn’t want to sit in seats that had vomit on them, and the pilot gave them an ultimatum to leave voluntarily or be forced to leave and not be able to fly with Air Canada again. This caused a lot of people to be upset.
Two women were on a flight from Las Vegas to Montreal with Air Canada. When they got on the plane, they noticed a bad smell and wet seats.
It turned out that someone had thrown up on the seats during the previous flight. Air Canada tried to clean it quickly, but it wasn’t done properly.
The passengers told the flight crew about the problem and said they couldn’t sit in those seats for a five-hour flight with the smell and mess. The airline crew tried to cover up the smell with perfume but couldn’t fix the problem.
Things got more serious when the pilot came and told the two women they had two choices:
The pilot had said, “You could leave the plane… and organize flights on your dime, or you would be escorted off the plane by security and placed on a no-fly list!” The two female passengers were then taken off the plane by security.
A passenger named Susan Benson (among 2 female passengers) wrote about this on Facebook, saying it was unfair for the airline to make them sit in those dirty seats for hours or be banned from flying with Air Canada.

She was upset about how the situation was handled and felt ashamed of Air Canada. She wrote on social media,
“Get off the plane.. For what? Refusing to sit in vomit for five hours! The airline literally expects its passengers to sit in vomit or be escorted off the plane and placed on a “no-fly list!
I am ashamed to be a Canadian and ashamed of Air Canada. Shame on you Air Canada! shame on you!”
After this post got attention and went viral on social media, Air Canada apologized to the two passengers and said they didn’t get the proper care they should have. They also admitted that their own rules weren’t followed correctly and promised to look into what happened.
