Aero India 2023: An Airshow Leads To Billion Opportunities

Aero India 2023 is meant to boost the ‘Make in India’ vision in the aviation sector. 731 national & 98 foreign exhibitors participated in this Asia’s biggest airshow.

The fourteenth version of Aero India 2023 was officially launched in Bengaluru by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 

The largest aero display in Asia, this show features a wide variety of aircraft and exhibits from numerous exhibitors. 

The five-day event will also be centered on presenting domestically produced machinery, aircraft, and technologies as well as establishing partnerships with foreign corporations. 

It should be emphasized that Rajnath Singh, the defense minister, was present for the entire inaugural ceremony.

Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari of the Indian Air Force headed the Gurukul formation on a flypast during the grand opening ceremony of the enormous air show.

The theme of Aero India 2023 is “The Runway to a Billion Opportunities,” as stated by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

The event will also aid in incorporating domestic MSMEs as well as start-ups into the global supply chain by drawing together international investors and luring co-development and co-production cooperation.

Aero India 2023 attracted participation from over 80 countries. 65 CEOs of international and Indian OEMs, as well as ministers from around 30 different countries, are anticipated to attend Aero India 2023.

More than 800 defense businesses, including over 100 international and 700 Indian enterprises, participated in the Aero India 2023 show.

MSMEs and start-ups from India will display the development of specialized technologies as well as the expansion of the nation’s aerospace and defense expertise at the event.

Airbus, Boeing, Dassault Aviation, Lockheed Martin, Israel Aerospace Industry, BrahMos Aerospace, Army Aviation, HC Robotics, SAAB, Safran, Rolls Royce, Larsen and Toubro, Bharat Forge Limited, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), and BEML Limited are among the major exhibitors at Aero India 2023.

The five-day event will highlight India’s expanding aerospace and defense capabilities and signal the emergence of a powerful and independent “New India.”
