Adobe Photoshop To Be Available Online For Free & Paid Users

Adobe is currently testing an online freemium version of Adobe Photoshop. Most of the features will be free for users while some will be only for paying users.

Software giant Adobe has started testing a free online version of the well-known photo editing program in an effort to make Adobe Photoshop services accessible to everyone.

The business is presently testing the free version in Canada, where users can utilize Photoshop free on the internet with an Adobe account, according to the reports.

The software behemoth refers to the service as “freemium”. The platform will disable a few premium services for customers, though.

Only paid customers will have access to such features. In order to provide bare-bones functioning with the free account, the organization will make enough free tools available.

According to Maria Yap, vice president of digital image at Adobe,

“We want to make Photoshop more accessible and easy for more people to test it out and experience the product.”

Photoshop was first made available online by Adobe in October of last year. A simplified version of the photo editing program was made available by the American multinational computer software corporation, and it could be used to make straightforward adjustments.

The company fell far short of providing the full range of features displayed in the mobile app, according to the report, even though the free-to-use software included layers and simple editing tools.

Rather, Adobe marketed the service as a tool for collaboration, enabling designers to share pictures with others, invite their participation, make some feedback, and execute a few minor edits.

The business, which has its headquarters in San Jose, California, and was founded in Delaware, is currently run by CEO Shantanu Narayen, who is of Indian descent.

The business also provides a variety of other tools, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, a well-known platform for video editing.
