Aditya Chopra plans to announce five new films along with disclosure of grand YRF 50 celebrations

Media reports dating back to September last year revealed that Aditya Chopra has been very diligently planning for the 50th-anniversary celebrations for the Yash Raj Films after the movie theatres open and the cinema business comes back to the way it was before.

One of the most well-known and biggest film production companies, YRF, was founded by Yas Chopra in 1970 and it completed its 50 years last year. Aditya Chopra, however, decided that it is not fair in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic to celebrate the anniversary and postponed it to a time when the movie industry stands back on its feet.

As per a report in the Bollywood Hungama the plannings and preparations regarding the YRF 50 celebrations will soon be revealed. A tentative time disclosed by the source suggests that by the end of February, people will finally know what are plans for the celebrations.

This decision has been taken because the people involved in the planning feel that it is a good time for such new initiatives. Not only have the theatres reopened but they have also got permission to function in full capacity recently by the government.

“Aditya Chopra revealing the master plan for YRF 50 has been the most awaited announcement in Bollywood. With theatres now operating at 100%, YRF will now roll out their ambitious celebration plan comprising the much-anticipated slate announcement that is expected to blow people’s minds! YRF has the biggest slate in Bollywood and they are the only studio to put four new big films in shoot mode in the pandemic,” the source told the entertainment news website.

It is expected that Chopra will be announcing as many as five movies. Apart from this details about the films already on making films such as Prithviraj, Shamshera, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Bunty Aur Babli 2 and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar will also be revealed. Fans are excited that YRF will return back on the screens after a slower pace seen in the recent years.

People close to the Chopra family also believe that Aditya Chopra will also be disclosing big ideas regarding the celebration of Yash Raj Films which will essentially include how it has become one of the largest production companies and how it could sustain itself for such a long time to become the oldest production company in India.

The source concludes by saying that the whole movie industry is expecting a lot and with the kind of arrangements planned by Chopra, they would not be disappointed.

One of the most talked-about movies that are being made under YRF is the Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Pathan’, which will also have John Abraham in a crucial role.
