80 Nations To Participate In 2nd World Food India 2023

Today marks a significant day as Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the grand event ‘World Food India 2023’ in New Delhi.

This event is a global stage for India to show its strength as a major player in the food industry. It’s happening in Bharat Mandapam at Pragati Maidan, starting at 10 am.

The idea behind World Food India 2023 is pretty impressive. It aims to put India on the map as the ‘food basket of the world.’ We’re also celebrating the International Year of Millets this year, which is a fantastic way to highlight our rich agricultural heritage.

Now, PM Modi has some exciting plans up his sleeve for this event. He’s going to give a financial boost to over one lakh members of Self Help Groups. This is a big step because it means these groups can make and sell their products with better quality, getting more money for their hard work.

There’s also something called ‘Food Street’ that PM Modi will launch this day. Imagine a street filled with the smells and tastes of traditional Indian cuisine, with over 200 chefs showing off our rich culinary heritage. It’s going to be a treat!

The discussions at World Food India 2023 are going to cover a lot of ground. They’ll talk about how to empower people financially, make sure food quality is top-notch, and bring in new tech and machinery to the food processing industry. With 48 sessions planned, there’s a lot to look forward to. Ayush Startups will also participate in the exhibition.

Now, this isn’t just an Indian affair. Over 80 countries are joining in, including big names in the food industry. The Netherlands is coming in as a partner country, and Japan is getting a special focus. There’s going to be a huge meet-up where international buyers and Indian sellers can make deals and learn from each other.

Besides all the business talk, there’s going to be a grand display of 50,000 tetra-pack containers of millet beverages. These will go to children in need, which is a kind gesture. And the event won’t be all work; there will be cultural programs, dance, and music to enjoy.

The 2nd edition of the World Food India 2023 event is a big deal for India. It’s our chance to shine on the global food stage and show the world what we’ve got.

With so many countries participating, it’s a golden opportunity for us to make some important connections and grow our food industry.

President Draupadi Murmu will close the event with her speech on the last day, marking the end of what promises to be a memorable event.
