What’s really going on in Canada behind these targeted break-ins? The Canadian Police can’t catch the thief even after 2 months, despite having enough evidence.
The news coming out of Canada about the series of break-ins at Hindu temples is indeed very concerning. Over a period of just 60 days, there have been 6 such incidents, 3 of them occurring on a single night. It’s deeply unsettling that these sacred spaces are being targeted.
Here’s the timeline and the list of temples targeted:
Serial | Temple | Location | Date & Timing |
1 | Hindu Mandir Durham | Oshawa | October 8, Around 12:45 a.m. |
2 | Devi Mandir | Pickering | October 8, Around 1:30 a.m. |
3 | Sankat Mochan Mandir | Ajax | October 8, Around 2:50 a.m. |
4 | Chintpurni Temple | Brampton | September 9 |
5 | Rameshwar Mandir | Caledon | September 18 |
6 | Hindu Heritage Centre | Mississauga | October 4 |
The suspect or suspects seem to be following a pattern. They go after donation boxes and seem to have an inside knowledge of temple layouts. This is more than just petty crime; it feels like a targeted attack on the Hindu community.
What’s even more troubling is that the suspect seems to only be targeting Hindu temples and not other religious or community spaces. Could it be that this is an organized activity with a deeper motive?
While it’s tempting to suspect involvement from extremist groups like Khalistani organizations, it’s crucial to remember that investigations are still underway. However, the focused nature of these crimes does raise eyebrows.
The Canadian police have surveillance footage, yet they haven’t been able to catch the suspect. One would expect that with advanced security measures and tech, tracking down a suspect walking with a limp should not be this challenging.

This has led to some speculation. Could it be that the enforcement agencies are not as invested in solving these cases as they should be? Are senior officers turning a blind eye? These are serious questions that demand answers, given the prolonged nature of these incidents.
But before jumping to conclusions, it’s essential to let the investigation unfold. It’s vital for both the Indian and Canadian governments to take this issue seriously and ensure that the culprits are caught.
The Hindu community deserves to feel safe and protected, just like any other community. Both countries must collaborate and put an end to this, ensuring justice is served.
This is not just about theft; it’s an attack on a community’s faith and sense of security. And for that reason alone, we must keep the spotlight on these incidents until they’re fully resolved.
With the evidence in hand, we expect that the Canadian police will act swiftly and seriously. The Indian government should also raise this case.
Until then, we have to wait, and we demand justice. Let’s hope for speedy investigations and a resolution that brings peace of mind to the affected communities.
