56% Female Gamers In India Now Consider Gaming As Career Option

According to a survey, done by HP, every 1 in 2 women turned their gaming hobby into a real profession. They feel gaming offers good earnings prospects.

According to a poll released on Thursday, 56 percent of female gamers now view the industry as a full- or part-time employment opportunity as gaming becomes more popular. A career in gaming is being considered by women gamers; of them, 45% would like to make it their full-time job and 45% believe there are good financial opportunities in the industry.

According to the second edition of the “HP India Gaming Landscape Study 2022,” becoming a gamer is still the most popular career path, but other opportunities like becoming an influencer or a developer of gaming software also appeal to them.

In addition to providing pleasure and comfort (92 percent), gaming is thought to increase mental agility (58 percent), foster social interaction, and (52 percent).

According to the report, 68 percent of gamers choose PCs as their preferred gaming device because they provide better processors, designs, and visuals with immersive displays.

Vickram Bedi, Senior Director, Personal Systems, HP India market, said, “The PC gaming countryside in India offers a massive opportunity for the youth. We, at HP, are dedicated to assisting gamers in their path by giving information, equipment, and opportunities to improve and help them become superior at their game through OMEN community initiatives.

39 % of mobile gamers are considering switching to a PC for gaming, indicating that the advantages of PC gaming are also convincing them to make the jump.

Only 2% of respondents, according to the report, had formal gaming training. While the majority of players focus on improving their own abilities, 32% choose to follow a gaming celebrity to advance their abilities.
