4.7 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Chhattisgarh Again, 3-Times In 24 Days

Northern Chhattisgarh has felt further tremors. Thursday at 11.57 am, Surajpur felt an earthquake. Its Richter magnitude is 4.7. It’s the 3rd consecutive event in the region.

The northern part of Chhattisgarh has once more felt earthquake shocks. On Thursday at 11.57 am, the earthquake’s tremor was felt. 

Its Richter scale magnitude has been determined to be 4.7. Tremors from an earthquake were reported 15 kilometers away in the Surguja division.

Twice earlier, the Korea district experienced earthquake shocks. The Surguja division has experienced earthquake shocks for the 3rd time in 24 days.

Let us remind you that around midnight on July 29, various locations in the Korea district suffered earthquake tremors. Its Richter scale magnitude has been recorded as being 4.6.

The Koriya district, which is 79 kilometers from the divisional headquarters of Ambikapur, reported the earthquakes.

Additionally, five workers were hurt when beef collapsed in the Charcha underground coal mines as a result of the earthquake.

On July 11, around 8:10 a.m., an earthquake of a magnitude of 4.3 occurred close to the Korea District Headquarters.

The Epicenter of The Earthquake

On July 29, the epicenter of the seismic event was located approximately 16 km below ground. It was an earthquake of a modest magnitude. It has the power to harm kutcha homes or frail buildings.

The epicenter of the earthquake that occurred on July 11 was around 10 kilometers below ground.
