In the early hours of a Saturday, a group known as Tehreek-e-Jihad Pakistan, or TJP, launched an attack on a Pakistan Air Force Base in Mianwali, located in Pakistan’s Punjab.
This group is believed to be an offshoot of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and their primary objective is to turn Pakistan into an Islamic state governed strictly by sharia law, mirroring what the Taliban has done in Afghanistan.
During the attack on the air base, the Pakistani military responded quickly and effectively. They managed to thwart the attack, ensuring the safety of their personnel and the base’s assets.
According to official statements, three of the terrorists were neutralized before they could even enter the base. Meanwhile, three other attackers were cornered and isolated by the troops.
Despite their efforts, there was some damage reported to three aircraft that were already grounded and a fuel bowser at the base.

The Pakistani military is currently carrying out a thorough clearance operation to secure the area. This attack on the Mianwali Air Base was one of three terrorist incidents that occurred within 24 hours in Pakistan.
When Tehreek-e-Jihad Pakistan attacked the Pakistan Air Force Base in Mianwali, the Pakistani army was able to neutralize three terrorists and isolate another three during their swift response to the incident. It is indicating a concerning surge in terror activities in the country.
Pakistan has faced 3 consecutive terror attacks within 24 hours, a concerning situation. This surge in violence comes shortly after Pakistan decided to send back 17 lakh Afghani nationals.
While there’s no official claim linking these events, but it’s possible that the Taliban or associated groups might be involved in such terror attacks.
Both Pakistan and Afghanistan have a history of sheltering terrorists and terror groups. Unfortunately, it seems like these past actions are coming back to haunt them, as they now face the terror they once sheltered.
