The Global Buddhist Summit is an opportunity to explore the fundamental values of Buddha Dharma. It is scheduled to take place at the Ashok Hotel in Delhi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to speak at the Global Buddhist Summit’s inaugural session in the national capital today.
The International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) and the Ministry of Culture are co-hosting the summit, which will be held over two days at the Ashok Hotel in Delhi.
The event’s keynote speakers will be Thich Tri Quang, the Deputy Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, and Professor Robert Thurman, a well-known American expert on Tibetan Buddhism.
Thurman is one of the most well-known individuals in the study of Tibetan Buddhism and has received the coveted Padma Shri Award for his efforts to the preservation of India’s ancient Buddhist legacy.
The goal of the Global Buddhist Summit is to bring together leaders and academics from the Buddhist community worldwide to discuss a wide variety of current concerns and to develop policy recommendations on subjects of common concern.
The theme of this year’s Summit is “Responses to Contemporary Challenges: Philosophy to Praxis,” and the discussions will be organized around four key themes:
The Summit is an extraordinary opportunity to discover how the core principles of Buddha Dhamma might offer motivation and direction in modern contexts.
Eminent academics, Sangha leaders, and Dharma practitioners from throughout the world will moderate the conversations. They will analyze current global difficulties from their points of view and consider how the Buddha Dhamma could offer solutions.
The Global Buddhist Summit is an invaluable chance to address some of the most critical challenges confronting our society today while providing an unprecedented forum for involvement and dialogue within the globe’s Buddhist community.
